There's been a little change in plans.  Having my part time job nearly turn into a second full time job and then having my laptop go black on me (hoping it just needs a new backlight) threw several hundred wrenches into the mix for me anyway and I just couldn't make anything happen for the holidays.   It was also a little disconcerting that no one sent in any "Happy Mothers' Day" greetings.   I figure everyone's very busy and had their own celebrations but I didn't expect any more of a response for Fathers' Day...sooooooooooooo I've kinda changed the theme here a little.  Smooshing May and June together, I've decided to call this the "Mindless Amusement" month.  I found a lot of fun stuff on the net that I think you'll get a kick out of, and NONE of it is educational or enlightening...hence the name "Mindless Amusement" month.  Enjoy!  :D 

 

Most of these are from the same site:  Fetch Fido.  Pretty good stuff on that site.   Some are games and some are just funny.  Some use Flash and some use Shockwave so you want to make sure you have both on your computer.  You don't have to register or download anything.  Just click the link and play.  Check 'em out...

 

Toss your midgets into the buckets.  No midgets were harmed during the development and creation of this game.

 

I like the way this one plays.  Easy to use.

 

Um...er...well....I can't really say the result is any kind of a surprise.  Pull the finger.

 

An elf with a paddle and a whole lot of penguins named Frank.

 

Lots of fun.  I got over 300 mph.  It's a blow-up monkey doll and you slap it with a big plastic hand.  Get your minds out of the gutter!  rofl!

 

Peanut flicking game.  Aim for the nads.

 

Standard solitaire game.

 

Fishing game.  Catch fish...or tires....or old underwear....pretty good for a free online game.

 

Use your leaf to bounce little furries into a soft pile of leaves.

 

Shooting balloons with a bow and arrow.  Funner than it sounds.

 

Whatever you do, just keep poking the bunny.

All you have to do is get the key into the lock.  Slide the intoxication simulator lever down and it gets more difficult.  The lower the level, the drunker you are and the more difficult it is to get your key in the lock.

 

A brain teaser/puzzle type of game.  Kind of along the lines of "Chip's Challenge."  Use your penguin to push the blocks of ice in boards that increase in difficulty.

 

Like to pop bubble wrap?  You can do this for hours.

 

A house of cards forms.  Every time you move your cursor into it, the pyramid falls.

 

Baseball game.  Fun to play--it's little kids in a backyard and you're up at bat.

 

Chocolate Easter Eggs singing about the wonders of chocolate.  Cute for 3 second, then you're going to want to shut it off.  Check it out.

 

Pitching balls of crumpled up paper into a wastebasket.   Addicting.

 

Hilarious.  Four horses on a fence.  Click on a horse and he does his bit.  Get all the horses going.  Clicking on a horse again makes him stop.

 

When it got to the board meeting in the second screen, I stopped shooting smilies and starting hitting executives.  Fun.

 

Get your cursor anywhere near this guy and he snatches it and puts into a big pile of cursors.

 

Move your cursor over each dog--I'm still laughing!

 

You're in a big balloon.  See if you can land it.  I couldn't.

 

Found four parking games that are a lot more fun than I thought they'd be.  You've got this one, and then you've got these other three:

 

 

 

 

You gotta keep this guy standing on his hands.  Easy to do and fun.

 

Simple and fun.  I kept slamming into the ground though so maybe I shouldn't talk...

 

Pool Game--Nine Ball.  Work on your aim.

 

Also good but you can't lock in your aim like the first one so pull the cue back straight.

 

The one I like the most of the pool games.  Only four levels in this free online version but challenging

and fun.

 

Pretty good one.  9-Ball.  This one is a good one to get used to angles.

 

This is simple to play but hard to win.  You have a chess board.  All you have to do is be able to get 8 queens on the board at once.  You click on any space you want a queen on.  The trick is that you have to place all 8 queens on the board so that, by rules of chess, no one queen would be able to take any other queen.  I got 7 on the board.  Give it a shot.

 

You're the red dot.  Don't touch any mouse keys or keyboard keys.  Maze game with a twist.

 

Standard checkers game.

 

Another "fling the penguin" game.  Kind of does a pinball thing up the ice, depending on how far you throw him and what he hits along the way.

 

Rock, paper, scissors.
