Frank M. Caetta, 89, God's humble servant, devoted to his faith and to his family, passed away Wednesday, January 24th, 2007.
He was born in Akron. In his early years, Frank was a fishcutter with Schneirs Fish Market. He was a retired real estate agent and appraiser for Azar-Denholm for over 20 years. He was past president of IFA of Cleveland and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Frank was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where Frank and Rose were part of a group of parishioners who visited area nursing homes. Frank and his band, The Three Pisanos, played in Akron in the 40s and 50s.
Mr. Caetta is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Rose; children Dennis, Frank Jr. (Elizabeth), John (Pat), Robert (Norma), Christopher (Debra), Daniel (Katherine), Judith (Carl) Vandergrift, Maria Cathers, Susan (William) Tallmon, Monica Schlager, Kathleen (Steve) Baker, and Patricia (Rick) Buster; 35 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
Our family wishes to thank Robin Smith, dad's aide, for her years of care, and also the Ridgewood Hospice Center for their comfort and care.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday (1/27/07), 9:30 a.m. at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 W. Waterloo Rd., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1034 Brown St. Internment at Holy Cross Cemetary. The family will receive friends TODAY, 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
